So Odie kept waking me up a lot last night and I wasn't sure what his problem was. That is until I got up this morning. He was behind the blinds of our French doors meowing and twitching. I was a bit concerned at first until I noticed the squirrel. Odie has always liked getting behind the blinds and looking out at the world, but has never noticed the squirrels before, so this was a first.
You can sort of see the squirrel in the picture. I raised the blinds slightly so Odie wouldn't tear them up. Not something I want to have to replace when we move again. He so wanted to get that squirrel. He still thinks he's a mighty hunter. I had to do it slowly so as not to scare off the squirrel. It was funny to watch Odie pacing and watching the squirrel. I think the squirrel was taunting our cat, because he did notice him but kept on eating from the feeder. He was not one to pass on a free meal.
A new rivalry has been formed. Odie vs. squirrel. Finally Odie has something in common with the dog, other than sleeping on the bed, eating and begging for attention. They both have it out for squirrels. Just don't tell either of them about it.
