Bragging Rights

It's rare that I talk about my sweet baboo's job. I try to not to be too public with information. There are a lot of unsavory people out there. And many times I either can't say or don't know what he is up to.

This is not the case this time around.

Not once but twice in the past week did my sweetie's ship make the news. And in a good way.

It's nice to see the Navy mentioned in a positive way in the news instead of being bad mouthed.

Way to go guys!

My brother got a new puppy. Isn't she just precious? She's a teacup Yorkie. No news on a name yet.

It's A World Gone Mad!

So I wandered into my bedroom to put something away and came upon this scene.

It's a world gone mad! Mad I tell you.

Dog and cat sleeping together on the same bed? Well okay they aren't sleeping in the photos. The eyes snapped open as soon as they heard me come back into the room.

They are smart little buggers. I'll give them that.

It was just too cute not to snap pictures of. Of course, Pumpkin refused to look at me. I think he may have been ashamed that he was caught. Now I just have to wonder...

Where am I going to sleep?

Maybe I can sweet talk them off the bed so I can actually sleep tonight. Here's hoping.

My Pets And Their Advice

So yesterday was a rainy, yucky day. The perfect kind of day for snuggling in a blanket and reading or watching movies. I had a headache and was feeling very cranky. Nobody wanted to be around me. Not even me. And I tried not to spread my discontent among anyone else.

What should we do about this Kyla?

I don't know mom. What about a nap?

Hm. I don't know. Let's get a second opinion.

Let's ask Kaiser what he thinks. Kaiser? Kaiser?

Wha?

I'm cranky.

And?

Kyla thinks I should take a nap.

Fine, I'll get off the bed. But I only do this cause I love you. Why do people always wake me from my nap to get one of their own?

Hm. I guess this means I should nap. I've already displaced my poor old puppy. I take some Alleve and get my favorite fleece blanket. Soon I'm settled in to take a nap.

Wait! Someone else wants to rule in though.

Oh. You taking nap with fleece blankie mom?

Yes.

Good idea mom. I'll join you. You'll need my protection. Insert a kitty grin here.

With that said I snuggled down with my boys and took a nap. The headache left and I woke up a little less cranky.

Hey when your pets are all in agreement it's time to listen up.

Puppy Love

Poor Kaiser! I've blogged about the kitties a lot and not said a word about him.

He likes to lay on the bed during the day. But he will be more than happy to leave the bed if you want to take a nap. He's not into napping with anyone.

He's getting on in years, but will bark if he hears any noises. He feels it's his civic duty to alert me to the presence of any perceived threat. And he won't stop until I go in and tell him I hear him.

Look at those beautiful eyes! Is he not the sweetest looking thing you've ever seen?

Usually he's smiling, but I'd just woken him up. I'd wanted him to go out for a little while because I was heading out for the day. He was not pleased with disruption to his quality napping time.

He did, however, wag his tail when I brought out the camera. He knows when I'm going to take pictures and that they will normally go on the blog.

It's not normal to find Pumpkin and Kyla on the same couch. Kyla can be a bit moody at times.

So when I found them napping together I had to snap this picture. Sadly when they heard the camera both of their heads popped up. I had hoped to get them sleeping. Sadly I guess it was not to be. Still I think it's pretty cute.

Pumpkin never seems to want to look at me when I've got the camera out. At this time there was a squirrel outside the window so I knew there was no way he was going to look at me. The bay window in our game room is a favorite place to sit. He always likes to watch me leave and cocks his head to the side when he sees me outside. He's freaked out before when the windows were open and I was mowing. Definitely did not like the noisy machine. Not that I blame him.

Kyla isn't very shy. And no she isn't very ladylike. She seems to be asking for someone to give her a belly rub. And yes she does like a gentle belly rub. She'll let you know when she's through with you by grabbing your hand. She won't hurt you, but you'll know she's done. Either that or she'll run away.

What Else Is a Box Good For?

I caught this quick clip of the kitties. I'm so glad that we get packages so that the cats can be entertained. Kyla, however, does not wish to share with Pumpkin. She's such a little princess. Poor Pumpkin. He just wants his turn.

So I know this is a bit late on posting. But hey life is hectic! Isn't he adorable? This is my best friend's little one. Colten was a ferocious bat for Halloween and came trick or treating in our neighborhood. He only went to a few houses in my neighborhood, but I was glad he came for a visit.

I thought this was a much better post than anything political. I refuse to comment on anything with the past election. Things can get way too heated when discussing politics!
