Happy Halloween!

So every year the hubby and I carve pumpkins while watching 'It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown'. I wised up and bought the DVD so we could carve when we wanted and not when ABC dictated.

We carved much later than we ever have before. Today in fact. Normally we do patterns of some sort. I just made up a face and did a more traditional jack-o-lantern.

The hubby does a pirate ship every year. This year I actually finished carving before he did, but his was MUCH more detailed. I just didn't have the energy this year for some reason.

It was a good Halloween though. We sat outside and handed out candy. Our house was a hit since we gave out full size candy bars. We had tunes playing, our neighbor over and adult beverages in hand.

I hope you had as good a Halloween as we had, if not better.

Don't Be A . . .

That's right! You know exactly what I'm talking about.

I have an issue with some people out there. I'm tired of the sniping, the back stabbing and the all around grade school behavior of some people. We're adults now people. Please act like it.

Leave your problems behind or just plain old deal with them. And don't drag other people, kicking and screaming, into your crap. Ugh!

I'm not naming names, cause that would be wrong. But people FIX YOURSELVES!

Nuff said.

Oh and on a side note. To all those stores out there that have Halloween on one or two aisles and then three aisles down has Christmas stuff... You make me want to vomit! Could we get to November before putting out Christmas? Please?

Okay, honestly, I'm done.

Howl-O-Scream

So last weekend the hubby and I went to Busch Gardens for the day. We haven't been in like 2 years and figured we should go. It's Howl-O-Scream and that used to be a tradition for us when we were in the area. Plus free tickets. Busch Gardens used to do a Here's To Our Heroes thing that gave military and their dependents free tickets for one day.

Not sure if that will be going on anymore due to the new management. Many things have changed since the Busch family sold the place. Most importantly? No more beer tastings! WTF? Not smart in my humble opinion. Why not try out your newest products here? You have a large buying base that comes to the place. Ugh!

Don't get me wrong, they still sell beer on the premises. Thank goodness!

Of course the favorite ride of the hubby and mine is the Big Bad Wolf. You can see it in this photo. Sadly it's been closed down. It was having too many issues and I was told it would be closed down by the end of this season. So we were hoping to get one last ride. That was not to be though.

I'm not sure that we'll be going back though. The price has gone up. Again. And the food really isn't that good. The ride we enjoyed is gone. And lets face it, we hate crowds.

So sadly, I'm saying goodbye to Busch Gardens. We've been going there for probably 15 years and I think our time has come to an end. It was fun while it lasted.

Question

I'm wondering why certain people suffer from this odd disorder of spouting off when really they shouldn't. In this day and age of instant contact, I think sometimes that silence is golden. You don't always need the last word and sometimes it's truly disrespectful. And honestly not everyone cares what you think. But then what do I know? I'm blogging. So I'm spouting my own opinion. Still Silence can be golden.

And that's all I'm going to say about that.
