Farmer's Market CSA - Week 9

Week nine I'm glad you are more colorful.  There won't be one next week, since that would be Black Friday and they won't be open.  So my next one will be done in December and it's not my fault this time.  :-p

More sweet potatoes.  Oh joy.  This time they're white.  So all told I have yellow/orange (the ones we're all used to seeing), purple and white.  Luckily my sweetie just gave me the great idea of making sweet potato chips with them, so I am breathing a sigh of relief with that thought bouncing around in my noggin.

Two more yummy tomatoes!  I don't think I can get sick of tomatoes.  Now they may sit around a bit, but I always like having them on a sandwich or even by themselves.

Butter beans again?  Ugh!  I had to pitch one bag because it went all slimy and I still have a bag in my fridge, I think.  Will have to make something with them soon.  Promise!

Tatsoi, now that's something I had to look up.  I've never even heard of it.  It's that pretty green thing in the back of the photo.  They did give me a recipe to try this with, so we will see.

Four persimmons.  I've never had these.  And they gave me a number of recipes to try with it.  So I'm excited about this as well.  I love it when they add new things that I've never had and there aren't a ton of repeats.  I think we'll eat at least one by itself and then I'll try out a recipe or two.  Depends on how many of the fruit each recipe calls for.  I've only got four of them.

All in all I'm really tickled with this week's batch!
